I’ve never seen anyone do this!

I wish someone would because its the easiest way to stand out even if your review is not great (yes, even a bad performance review can be saved)

1.Take notes when your manager is sharing feedback and providing a review

2.Share 3 things you accomplished this year at work that are most notable accomplishments

3.Share 3 things that you struggled with and actions you are taking to improve upon them

4.Share 1-3 future goals/opportunities/plans. They have to be work specific. Ideally they will improve a process/structure or focus on career succession

Taking an active role in your review is easy and highly impactful.

If your review is not good there are a few additional points you will want to consider which we will cover in a future blog post!
